The Seagate FreeAgent Go looks sleek and is available in 9 colors. Wide availability and the 5 year warranty make it our winner.
Looks good, performs well, but glossy casing is prone to fingerprints and scratches. Limited by the USB 2.0 speed limit.
Internally, it uses a performance oriented WD Scorpio hard disk drive. Widely available and offers a choice of nine colors.
Innovative design. Bundled software allows backing up files, but adds online backup and protects your PC from viruses/spyware.
Casing is slightly rubberized. The Y-cable for USB connectivity is a good add on, but the two year warranty is a letdown.
