Description
The AVG Rescue CD will recover and boot PCs that are infected with a virus or unable to boot for another reason.
Any body can download and install AVG Rescue CD which can then either be burnt to CD or stored on a USB flash drive, even if they don't have the AVG security software or their free security software installed in their system. But AVG customer can get free support and service for paid license holders of any AVG product, while AVG Free users can get FAQ and Free Forum self-help support.
Advanced users will also be able to make use of a Windows Registry editor, a TestDisk utility for recovering deleted files and lost partitions, a file browser for navigating folders and a Ping tool for basic network diagnostics.
If needed the disk or USB drive can then be inserted into the machine and will boot the PC. Once booted, the software will scan the hard drive for viruses and malware, as well as restoring a safe network connection to the computer.
