The interface design is not the sleekest and simplest to use, but after using it for a while, users will feel right at home. The main screen has three panels for easier navigation and we liked different views including the album art thumbnail view on the library main screen. Though the standard version is lacking a bunch of tempting features, it still is packed with many advanced features that we normally don't see in most free media players. With a wide range of format support that includes MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG and FLAC, converting file from one format to another and ripping audio CD's was a breeze. Burning audio CD/DVD is also.

This is why Media Monkey is one of the best media players to let you manage your files without any hassle if you don't mind the lack of video support. We found the volume leveling really useful too. This feature automatically adjusts the track volumes higher or lower depending on the loudness of the original track (only MP3 supported) and does away with the need to manually adjust the volume by the users.
