Real has been in the media player business since 1995 and has a solid reputation of building media players that integrate online experiences very well. With their new player, Real has taken this concept one step further by allowing you to download online videos with one click.

The interface also looks uncannily similar to Windows Media Player.Real Player’s format support is very good although it requires Windows Media Player and Quicktime Player installed to play WMA and MOV files. Instead of ripping CDs, Real allows you to ‘save’ CDs. There are options attached to this feature like choosing the CPU load during coding but again, it misses out on more basic features such as choosing the format.

The unique feature that Real Player 11 boasts of is one click downloads of online videos. Another element of the online integration includes a Real Player site which you can open within the player. This site allows you to download movie clips, browse Real’s online media library and listen to online radio.
