Intel Promises Long Battery Life With Haswell Chip

At Intel Developer Forum (IDF) 2011, Intel promises that its new Haswell chip will be more power efficient than it's current lineup, and it hopes to deliver 10 days of standby time on always-connected ultrabooks using Haswell chips. The Haswell chips are due in laptops by 2013, and are targeted at ultrabooks, which Intel is promoting as a new category of thin and light PCs with tablet-like features.  Intel claims that Haswell will be more power efficient, without compromising on the performance .
