Apple CEO Steve Jobs stepped down on August 24, after 14 years at the helm of the company. Over the course of Jobs’s tenure as CEO, Apple rose from the brink of its demise to become, by some measurements, the most valuable company in the world. Now Jobs is being replaced by Tim Cook, who was previously Apple's chief operating officer. Jobs will carry on at Apple as chairman of the board of directors. Click on to see how we got here.
