Acer Showcases Dual-Booting Aspire One AOD255

Acer has showcased a new netbook in the ongoing Taipei Computer Application Show. The netbook named as Acer Aspire One AOD255 can run on Android as well as Windows XP operating system. If you let it run on its own, then it uses Android to quickly boot and Windows XP as the main operating system. With the help of Acer Configuration Manager for Android, user can control which operating system will boot up.

Specification
Acer Aspire One AOD255 has a 10.1 inch-screen. It is powered by Intel's Atom N450 microprocessor and has 160GB hard disk drive (HDD) for storage. The Acer Aspire One AOD255 runs on 1GB of DDR2 DRAM. The salesman selling the netbook said that the Acer Aspire One AOD255 can be sold with sells a 6-cell battery for an additional $75.

Acer is already selling this device in the Taipei Computer Application Show for $300, but this price has been slashed down for the attendees from the estimated price of $375. We are hoping that the device will soon be available worldwide.
