Asus Launches 23-inch Full HD Monitor at 41K

Asus has launched 23-inch Full HD 1080p display monitor in India at the price of Rs. 41,000. The monitor is named ASUS VG236H and is capable of showing 3D content with the help of NVIDIA 3D Vision and it also has Trace Free II technology. Asus claims that the response time for the ASUS VG236H monitor is 2ms and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The ASUS VG236H monitor displays 16.7 million colours and has a contrast ratio of 100,000:1. Asus claims that the monitor can be viewed at an angle of 170 degrees horizontally and 160 degrees vertically. The monitor has an aspect ratio of 4:3 and has an anti-reflection glare panel. The monitor uses Color Shine technology with 400 nits ultra-brightness for better quality. In terms of connections, the ASUS VG236H monitor has support for Dual-link DVI / HDMI / YPbPr. The dimension of the monitor is 550x420x250 mm and it weighs 7.0 KG.
“Through the use of market-leading NVIDIA 3D Vision technology, the VG236H takes advantage of active shutter glasses, alternate-frame sequencing, and 120Hz refresh rate to deliver the action at 120fps. Now we can enjoy the 3D experience in the comfort of our homes,” said Vinay Shetty, Country Head – Components Business, ASUS India.
The ASUS VG236H monitor is also targeted at the gamers. In gaming mode, it automatically lightens up dark, hard-to-see areas while leaving well-lit ones untouched to help gamers locate enemies lurking in dark corners without washing out the colors of the entire scene. The ASUS VG236H comes with a 3 years warranty for the system and 2 years warranty for the panel.
