Blackberry Curve 9380, Bold 9790 Added to OS 7 Range of Devices
15 Nov 2011
Research in Motion (RIM) seems to be on a roll these days with a plethora of new device announcements despite the recent setbacks.
The latest phones to join the Blackberry OS 7 range of devices are the first full touchscreen Curve 9380 and the new Bold 9790. The phones are expected to go on sale in Indonesia and a subsequent global rollout will happen later. Indian prices and the release date are yet unknown.
Curve 9380
The Blackberry Curve 9380 is the first full touchscreen phone in the curve range of Blackberry phones and apart from running OS 7, the phone has an 806 MHz processor, a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen, 5MP rear camera and NFC capabilities.

Bold 9790
Another phone to join the famous Bold range of phones is the Bold 9790. The phone features a 2.4-inch capacitive touchscreen, 1 GHz processor, NFC support, 8 GB onboard storage, and a microSD slot with support for another 32GB of storage.

London?
However, those who have been following RIM news probably know by now that the company is going to make future devices based on BBX OS that is based on software by QNX Systems, a company RIM purchased in 2010 that produces a respected industrial-grade OS. And the new gadget blog The Verge published on Monday a leaked image of a phone codenamed ‘London’. Rumoured specs include a Texas Instruments OMAP 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 3.7-inch touch display, 8 megapixel front-facing camera and 2 megapixel rear-facing camera.
