Five MSI F-series Laptops Launched in India

MSI today launched five new F-series laptops in India. The MSI FX400, FX600, FX700, and FR600 laptops are stylish, have latest Intel Core processor, Nvidia graphics, and high-quality onboard sound from Dynaudio.

The MSI FX400, FX600, FX700, and FR600 range from 14-inch to 17-inch screen sizes and are equipped with latest Intel Core i5 processor (with Intel Turbo Boost and HyperThreading support). To offer a better-than-average audio experience, the MSI F-series laptops come with Dynaudio speakers -- seen previously on the MSI GT660 we reviewed -- and also incorporate THX audio-visual technology. MSI claims the new F-series of laptops look more stylish than MSI's C-series of laptops -- the MSI CX420, for example.

The new MSI F-series laptops also come with Intel's WiDi wireless display technology -- it lets you send data from your laptop to your TV. You can watch videos, photos, music from your laptop on to a WiDi-supported TV.

Laptop models in MSI's new F-series laptops (FX400, FX600, FX700 and FR600) that suppport discrete graphics come with an Nvidia GeForce GT 325M with 1GB DDR3. These laptop models also have MSI's own GPU Boost technology with automatic graphics switching mode, MSI said. These new MSI F-series laptops also come with MSI's ECO engine power saving technology with five power management modes -- gaming, movie, presentation, office and turbo battery.

MSI F-series laptops have two DDR3 RAM slots. The MSI FX400, for instance, comes with a 1.3 megapixel webcam, while other MSI F-series laptops are equipped with high-definition HD 720p webcam for enhanced image quality. Large-capacity 250GB-500GB hard drives are also available on the F-series laptops from MSI. Apart from regular connectivity options, the F-series laptops also come with an HDMI port for easy connectivity to an HDTV to play content.

Prices for the MSI F-Series laptops, range between Rs. 37,000 to Rs. 53,000 depending on the model and configuration, making them contenders to feature in our Top 5 Mainstream Laptops list.
