Unveiled yesterday, Google Instant search is Google's latest interface tweak to the search engine. Google Instant takes autosuggestion to the next level by displaying on-the-fly, dynamic search results from the very first character you type in Google.com's search field.

Google Instant search feature promises to speed up searching on the Web, no doubt, but it has a few drawbacks that it needs to overcome quickly. Google Instant search isn't supported on mobile phones, it doesn't work from browser toolbars, to name a few shortcomings of Google Instant.

For whatever reason, if you've decided to go back to Google.com of old, this is what you have to do. Follow the steps highlighted below to disable Google Instant search.

Okay, so you enabled Google Instant by visiting http://www.google.com/instant and clicking on the 'Try It Now' button on the page -- like the image shown below.

Enable Google Instant Search

You are immediately redirected to the brand new Google Instant search page -- notice the longer search field on a Google Instant enabled search page.
