Huawei Enters Indian Mobile Market with Cheap Android Phones

Huawei Technologies has entered Indian mobile market with the launch of two series of handsets, Hangout and Android. The Hangout series is targeted at young Indians with more integration with social networking sites, while the Android series as the name suggest uses the power of Android platform, and targets young adults and professionals. Huawei U9130 and Huawei C5600 in Hangout Series and Huawei U8300 and Huawei U8500 in Android Series were showcased in the press conference by Huawei Technologies. Hangout Series: Huawei U9130

The Huawei U9130 is a 2.4-inch phone with a QWERTY keyboard. It supports GSM and 3G network, and for internet it supports HSDPA, GPRS and EDGE. It has a WAP 2.0 browser and also has A-GPS for navigation. For connectivity it has Bluetooth 2.0 and support for USB. The Huawei U9130 allows you to connect to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. You can also check your emails through this phone.

Hangout Series: Huawei C5600
The Huawei C5600 is a CDMA phone which allows you to switch to any CDMA network using OMH (open market handset) platform. This phone is only targeted at youth and is designed to provide more music and social networking features.

Android Series: Huawei U8300

The Huawei U8300 runs on Android platform and is one of the cheapest Android phones available currently. Huawei says that this phone is 3G enabled and works on GSM also. It has a 3.15 megapixel camera with LED flash. In terms of connectivity it supports GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0. The Huawei U8300 is a full QWERTY touch screen phone.

Android Series: Huawei U8500
The Huawei U8500 has a 3.2-inch touchscreen display and has an optional track pad. This phone also runs on Android operating system and is 3G enabled. This phone also has access to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
