iPhone 4 Heading to 17 More Countries; Still No India
27 Jul 2010
Apple’s iPhone 4 will be available in 17 more countries this Friday.
According to a press release, from July 30 customers can purchase iPhone 4 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. The iPhone 4 will be available for purchase through Apple’s retail and online stores and Apple Authorized Resellers.
The iPhone 4 is currently available in France, Germany, Japan, the UK and the US for a suggested retail price of US$199 (Rs. 14,525 approx.) for the 16GB model and US$299 (Rs. 21,800 approx.) for the 32GB model.
The release further states that the iPhone 4 will roll out to “many more countries” later this year and pricing and availability will be announced later. Unfortunately, India still does not look to be a part of the iPhone 4 launch calendar. However, keep in mind that an official Apple release did mention that the iPhone 4 would be rolling out to 88 countries by the end of September 2010. Let’s hope in two months we will actually get to see the iPhone being sold here.
