iPhone 4 vs Dell Streak vs Galaxy S vs Motorola XT720 vs...

There are many high-end phones launched this year and only  some have made it to Indian market. Despite the slow release of many high-end phones in India which are long overdue, here are our picks that have promising hardwares and features. Phones like iPhone 4, Dell Streak and HTC Desire though not yet available in India are expected to arrive soon, so we included in our list and their pricings are also appromixate value. However, the Samsung Galaxy S and Motorola xt 720 are already available in the market.
The recently launched Dell Streak sports a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen, which is the biggest touchscreen in the current market. The phone is powered by a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor and it has 16GB of internal memory and 512MB of RAM. If you look at the specs and compared with the rest of the phones, the Streak despite its big screen supports a 480x800( WVGA) resolution which is just as much as what the smaller sized screen on HTC Desire, Galaxy S and xt720 supports. In terms of screen resolution - iPhone 4 still tops the list with its retina display which is 640x960 pixels. For the processing power, everyone except for the Motorola xt720 has 1Ghz proccessor while the xt720 is still stuck with 720MHz.

For storage, iPhone 4 gives the biggest onboard storage ( 32GB option), however, the lack of memory card support still puts the rest ahead of the competition. And for the multimedia, surprisingly, the Motorola xt720 has a HDMI out which will let you connect it to HDTV and watch your phone contents on the HD display. And while the rest of the phones are contended with 5MP camera, the xt720 is the only phone in this comparison which has 8MP camera and still better, it came with Xenon flash. While 720p HD video recording is a must-have feature for a high-end phone these days, only three phones from the list offered this feature - Samsung Galaxy S, iPhone 4 and Motorola xt720. For the HTC Desire and Dell Streak, it is still VGA and WVGA respectively, which is way too disappointing for full-fledged multimedia phones.
And for media playback, only Galaxy S supports native DiVx and XviD playback, however, for Android phones, there are third party apps which support these files playback. Overall, you can find many differences in this line-up, so , we suggest you take a look at the table below and pick your favorite.![]()
