Lava B5 to Ship with Indian Rupee Symbol

Lava Mobiles have announced that the Lava B5 mobile, which was launched with Alpha keypad few weeks back, will now have a button with the new Indian Rupee Symbol. Back in July Indian government had launched a new Indian rupee sign. Since then, many companies are trying to cash in the opportunity of attracting customers by launching products with the Indian rupee symbol. Few days back TVS had launched a keyboard which has the Indian rupee symbol. The Rest of the features of the Lava B5 remains the same, but let us take a closer look at the phone’s specification.
Specifications:
Lava B5 has an alpha keypad, which means it does not have the usual QWERTY format but has an ABCD format. The phone has a 2.2 inch TFT screen with a resolution of 320x240 pixel resolution. It has a 2 megapixel camera and supports various formats for multimedia like MP3, MP4, AVI, 3GP, MIDI and AMR. The phone also has FM radio, Bluetooth and supports Java format.
The Lava B5 is a dual-SIM phone and has a 1400 mAh battery. In terms of storage, the phone has a microSD support of up to 8GB and has the capacity of storing up to 1000 contacts. The phone also has other functions like phonebook backup, privacy protection, opera mini browser and Nimbuzz for social networking activity. The phone also has a 3.5 mm audio jack.
The Lava B5 is priced at Rs. 4,399.
