Lenovo Launches IdeaPad Y460, Y560 Entertainment Laptops

Lenovo has launched the 14-inch IdeaPad Y460 and 15-inch IdeaPad Y560 laptop series in India. The Ideapad laptops are aimed at providing a better entertainment experience for individual and family use, claims Lenovo.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 and IdeaPad Y560 laptops come with a One-Key Theater button, JBL speakers and Dolby Headphone technology, and Lenovo’s proprietary VeriFace face recognition technology and the one-key rescue system.

14-inch Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 Laptop Specs
The Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 laptop has a 14-inch HD LED widescreen display with 1366x768 pixel resolution and weighs 2.2-kg with a six-cell battery. The Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 series has two laptops with one having an Intel Core i3-350M 2.26-GHz processor and the other has an Intel Core i5-430M 2.26-GHz processor with Turbo Boost support up to 2.53-GHz. The IdeaPad Y460 entertainment laptops have a standard offering of 4GB of DDR3 RAM, 1.3MP webcam, 6-in-1 media card reader, and an HDMI port. There are two storage options: 320GB and 500GB hard drive on the Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 laptop. Graphics is handled by discrete ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1GB GPU -- similar to the one on the Acer Aspire TimelineX 4820TG.

15-inch Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 Laptop Specs
In most ways, this is a revision of the Lenovo IdeaPad Y550. The new Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 entertainment laptop series has five configurations to choose from. The IdeaPad Y560 has a standard 15.6-inch HD LED-backlit display and a six-cell battery. The different IdeaPad Y560 laptop configurations support an Intel Core i3-330M, Intel Core i3-350M, Intel Core i5-430M and Intel Core i5-450M processors. All Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 entertainment laptops come with standard 4GB DDR3 RAM and 500GB hard drive. Lenovo also claims that select IdeaPad Y560 laptops are equipped with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 discrete graphics.

Both the 14-inch Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 and 15-inch Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 entertainment laptop series are equipped with common features like One-Key Theater for cinema experience, JBL speakers and Dolby Headphone technology, and multi-touch touchpad. You also get Lenovo’s proprietary VeriFace face recognition technology and One-Key rescue system on Lenovo IdeaPad Y460, Y560 mainstream laptop series.

Unveiled in June, the Lenovo IdeaPad Y460, Y560 entertainment laptop range starts at Rs. 46,235, respectively. The IdeaPad Y460, Y560 laptops are now available for customers from digital retail stores like Croma, eZone, and Lenovo retail outlets.
