New HP G42, G62 Laptops Launched in India

HP's G-series of laptops are here in India. Unlike the HP Pavilion dm3, the new HP G42, G62 laptops aim to offer a good mix of style and portability for laptop consumers at an affordable price point. The new HP G series of laptops are different from the Pavilion dv6, dm4 laptops launched earlier this year.
The new HP G-series laptops -- G42 and G62 -- come with latest Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processors. The two new HP G-series laptops are available in 14-inch and 15.6-inch screen sizes -- HP G42 and HP G62, respectively. HP didn't release model-specific details regarding the new G42 and G62 laptops. The laptops come with Altec Lansing speakers.
However, HP says the new G-series G42, G62 laptops are as thin as 1.24-inch and weigh as little as 2.2-kg. Both the HP G-series laptops -- G42, G62 -- feature a full-size keyboard with flush touchpad. Storage options offered go up to 750GB on the HP G62 15.6-inch laptop alone. HP also claims a battery life of up to 5.5 hours on the 6-cell battery equipped HP G42 and HP G62 laptops.
The two new HP G-series H42 and G62 laptops are available in trendy colors: charcoal grey, velvet red and imperial blue color options exist for consumers to choose from.

The HP G series of laptops -- HP G42, G62 -- are available across India with a starting price of Rs. 34,500 -- depending on configuration.
