Nikon Launches D3100 Camera with Full HD Recording

Nikon has launched Nikon D3100 digital SLR camera, which is capable of recording video at 1920x1080 (Full HD) and 24fps. The Nikon D3100 is a 14.2 megapixel camera and has a Nikon EXPEED 2 processing engine. Nikon has designed this camera for beginners and is also categorized in the entry level range.
The D3100 is equipped with DX-format CMOS image sensor which offers an effective pixel count of 14.2-million pixels and enables capture of high-definition images. The Nikon EXPEED 2 maximizes the performance of the CMOS image sensor to suppress noise in still images and movies. Users will also benefits from Guide Mode, which offers instructions on how to use certain settings as well as samples of images you'll achieve using the settings.
The Nikon D3100 offers 11-point autofocus, a dedicated movie record button and NX2 on-camera editing features. An HDMI port allows the camera to be connected directly to a an easy-access movie record button that lets users instantly switch to video mode and a HDMI port that ensures images captured on the device can be viewed on a HD screen.
Users can edit their images and moves while still on the camera. However, for more in-depth editing, the D3100 also comes bundled with NX2 editing software. The Nikon D3100 digital SLR camera is priced around Rs. 36,000 but is not available in India yet.
