Nokia 5250 XpressMusic Phone Revealed

No more rumors, the Nokia 5250 XpressMusic touchscreen phone is officially confirmed. The handset will have Symbian^1 OS, Ovi Music and free Guitar Hero 5 Mobile.
Nokia released sample photos of the new Nokia 5250 XpressMusic phone on its Facebook page earlier today. Nokia revealed the 5250 XpressMusic phone has a 2.8-inch TFT touch-enabled screen, with a 16:9 aspect ratio and 640x360 pixel resolution. The Nokia 5250 XpressMusic phone runs Symbian^1 OS and supports GSM/EDGE for voice communication and GPRS for data.
The Nokia 5250 XpressMusic phone comes with a 2-megapixel camera on its back and measures 104mm x 49mm x 14mm. The Nokia 5250 XpressMusic phone has 51MB of onboard memory which is expandable up to 16GB with microSD card. Nokia's claiming a battery life of 18 days in standby mode for the 5250 XpressMusic phone, with a max seven hours of talktime or 24 hours of nonstop music playback on a single charge.
The Nokia 5250 XpressMusic phone allows music download from Ovi Music. Geared towards its music-loving consumer, the phone also bundles in free Guitar Hero 5 Mobile game, adding to its overall appeal. And the 5250 handset will come with Ovi Music Unlimited in select regions, Nokia stated on its blog. The phone also comes with an FM radio.
The Nokia 5250 XpressMusic phone provides easy access to Facebook, Ovi Mail, Gmail and Yahoo mail, as well as instant messenger accounts. Extra apps, as always, can be added using the Ovi Store.

The Nokia 5250 is a touch-screen device for music lovers aimed at the mid-range mobile phone market. The Nokia 5250 is supposed to replace the existing Nokia 5233 XpressMusic / 5235 XpressMusic phone. Expect this phone to hit Indian shores in the fourth quarter of this year, available in four different colors at an expected price of around Rs. 7,000 -- most certainly below Rs. 10,000.
