Nokia Launches C6-01, C7, and E7 at Nokia World14 Sep 2010
Nokia has launched three new phones in the ongoing Nokia World 2010 conference in London. All these new smartphones have AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, support 3G network, and run on Symbian^3 operating system. The Nokia C6-01 and C7 will start shipping in October this year. Let us check the specifications of these phones in detail.
The Nokia C6-01 has 3.2-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 360x640 pixels. The phone comes with an internal memory of 340 MB and a microSD card slot with memory of 2 GB. Additional memory up to 32 GB can be added on the phone. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 3G network and the speed of (HSDPA) 10.2 Mbps, (HSUPA) 2 Mbps. Nokia C6-01 also has support for GPRS, EDGE, WLAN and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP. This phone also has microUSB 2.0 to connect to the computer.
The Nokia C6-01 has an 8 megapixel camera, which takes picture at a resolution of 3266x2450 pixels. It also has autofocus, dual-LED flash along with geo tagging. The phone is capable of shooting video at 720p. The phone has Nokia ClearBlack display, Proximity sensor for auto-locking keypad and Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate.
The phone has talktime of up to 11 hours 30 minutes on the 2G and up to 4 hours 30 minutes on the 3G network. Nokia has announced that the Nokia C6-01 will be available for EUR 260 (approx. Rs. 15,500).
Nokia is branding this phone as a ‘social networking smartphone’. With 3.5-inch touchscreen display, the phone has resolution of 360x640 pixels. Just like Nokia C6-01, the Nokia C7 has an 8 megapixel camera with resolution of 3264x2448 pixels, autofocus and dual-LED flash. This phone also can record videos in 720p at 25fps.
The Nokia C7 has internal memory of 8 GB, which can be further extended with the help of microSD card to 32 GB. The phone has same connectivity specification as Nokia C6-01 and also has Proximity sensor for auto-locking keypad and Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate.
The phone has talktime of up to 9 hours 30 minutes on the 2G and up to 5 hours on the 3G network. Nokia has announced that the Nokia C7 will be available for EUR 335 (approx. Rs. 20,000).
The Nokia E7 is further continuation of the last communicator line from Nokia, the Nokia 9000. Targeted at business users, this phone has a slide out QWERTY keyboard. The phone has Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, which helps in receiving direct and real-time access to corporate email inboxes and other personal applications. With Nokia E7, business users can work on documents, review spreadsheets, or read and edit slides as well.
The Nokia E7 has a 4-inch touchscreen display, with a resolution of 360x640 pixels. It has multi-touch input methods along with Proximity sensor for auto-locking keypad and Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate. The phone has 16 GB of storage, 256 MB RAM and 1 GB ROM. Memory can be further extended up to 32 GB through a microSD card. Again, the connectivity features are identical with C6-01 and C7.
Nokia E7 also has an 8 megapixel camera with resolution of 3266x2450 pixels, autofocus and dual-LED flash. The phone has an additional feature of face and smile detection. The phone has talktime of up to 9 hours on the 2G and up to 5 hours on the 3G network. Nokia has announced that the Nokia E7 will be available for EUR 495 (approx. Rs. 29,500).
Apart from these phones, Nokia also showcased Nokia N8 with the Symbian^3 operating system in the Nokia World 2010 event. We expect it to be launched next month.
