Nokia Launches Low Priced 2690 in India

Nokia has launched 2690 in India, which is priced at Rs. 3700. Targeted at the rural market, Nokia 2690 has many features and has BL-4C 860 mAh Li-Ion battery with a talk time of 4.5 hours and standby time of 335 hours. For a phone as cheap as this, Nokia has managed to provide up to 8 GB of memory card slot. Nokia 2690 also has a VGA camera and supports video recording at 176x144 pixels, 15 fps.

Nokia 2690 has a 1.2 inch display which has the resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. It supports GPRS and EDGE for mobile internet connection. In terms of the network, the phone supports Quad band EGSM 850/900/1800/1900.

The phone runs on the basic S40 platform and has the generally available application such as calendar, notes, recorder, calculator, clock and converter. Users can send mails through Nokia 2690, as well as surf the net through the available web browser. The phone also has Nokia Music Player along with Stereo FM radio (87.5-108 MHz/76-90 MHz), RDS.

The phone is available in Graphite, White silver, Hot pink and Blue colour.
