Nokia Reveals Big Plans for Dual-SIM Mobiles Segment

Nikhil Pradhan 06 Jun 2011

Nokia has revealed that they plan to inundate the dual-SIM segment in India with a portfolio of launches within the next six to nine months. While Nokia hasn't mentioned how many models they will be launching in the course of that period, they will be launching devices at a number of price points to compete with the likes of Micromax, Spice and Karbonn whose devices are currently reigning over the dual-SIM market.

While speaking to The Economic Times, a Nokia representative confirmed the time period during which the Finnish handset manufacturer will be launching the devices. Nokia already has the C1 and C2 dual-SIM phones in the market and has now launched the C2-00 and the X1-01. The new dual-SIM handsets will be priced at Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 2,000 respectively and will have the Easy Swap function that will let users swap SIM cards without taking out the battery.
