The Nokia X2 is making a lot of noise with its 5MP camera which is a first in a device that's expected to be priced around Rs. 6,000. We take a closer look at the Nokia X2 to help you decide on whether the X2 should be on your mobile phone shopping list.

Camera: 5MP but it seems to lack autofocus! Video capture is only QVGA@20 fps.

Screen: 2.2-inches with 256K colors, again not the best for a latest phone. The Nokia 6303i has 16M colors.

Connectivity: GSM phone with EDGE support, lacks 3G and Wi-Fi.

Internal Memory: The X2 has only 48MB, Nokia 6303i has 55MB -- not impressive.

Music: The Nokia X2 has dedicated music playback buttons, comes with dual speakers, FM radio and supports memory card up to 16GB.

OS: Symbian S40, basic OS found on low-end Nokia phones.

Conclusion: The Nokia X2 is primarily a basic phone with a bumped up camera resolution. The good part is its pricing and slim looks. You don’t get GPS, 3G, Wi-Fi or any of the other high-end features with the phone.

If you are looking for user reviews and opinions, we suggest you head to GSM Arena for user opinions of people who have managed to already buy the phone.
