Now Watch TV on Zen Z82 QWERTY Phone

Zen Mobile has launched a 2.4-inch widescreen QWERTY phone Zen Z82, which can show Analog TV on it. The Zen Z82 is dual SIM phone and is available at the price of Rs. 4799 in India. If you remember, Samsung had launched TV on mobile phone couple of months back. So this thing isn't exactly that new in India. But the Samsung phones supporting this (Samsung Corby and Samsung Metro) live TV were not QWERTY phones.

Zen's press release strangely does not mention how can one watch TV on the Zen Z82. As far as Samsung Corby and Metro TV were concerned, they streamed Live TV using CDMA based EVDO, which provides broadband like speed. But as this is a GSM+GSM dual SIM phone the option for stream from EVDO (only available on CDMA) is not possible.

In terms of other features, the Zen Z82 supports social networking sites such as Facebook, Nimbuzz and Yahoo. It has a 2 megapixel camera and users can listen to MP3/MP4 players FM with 3.5mm Jack. The Zen Z82 has Quad Band and supports 850/900/1800/1900 mhz frequencies. Zen claims that the mobile can store 1000 contacts and 1000 SMS and offers a talktime of 5 hours and 200 hours in standby mode.

“Mobile handsets with Analog TV have rapidly gained the attention of consumers worldwide. With the launch of Z82, one can now watch Live Telecast & News updates on a QWERTY mobile for the first time in India,” claims Deepesh Gupta, MD, Zen Mobile.
