Olive's AAA-battery powered mobile phone launched with Airtel

Olive Telecom has launched its Olive FrvrOn V-G2300 handset partnering with Airtel, India’s first hybrid-dual powered mobile phone compatible with any AAA battery. The Olive users will have an advantage of a free Airtel connection with the handset.

The Olive FrvrOn V-G2300 gives its users the ability to stay connected even when the phone's power (Lithium Ion) runs out. Other key features of the Olive dual-powered mobile phone include a 1.5-inch color display, polyphonic ringtones, and built-in FM radio. The Olive FrvrOn V-G2300 also comes with a stereo headset.

A user upon running out of charge on the phone's Li-On battery can simply slot in any AAA battery available and stay connected. The Olive FrvrOn V-G2300 not only keeps the phone ON but charges the phone's main battery simultaneously.

As part of the initiative Olive Telecom and Airtel have started a marketing campaign for rural markets.
