Samsung Galaxy Pop S5570: Preorder for Rs. 8,999

It has been just over a week since the Galaxy Pop S5570 was unveiled by Samsung, but today the mid-range Froyo-running Android phone can be pre-ordered from Flipkart for Rs. 8,999. With its decent features and the competitive pre-order price, we think the Samsung Pop S5570 is the most attractive Android phone you can get under Rs. 10,000 right now.

There are a couple of Android smartphones in Rs. 10,000 price range like Spice Mi-300, Dell XCD28, Samsung Galaxy 3, Samsung Galaxy 5, Videocon Zeus and the cheap Micromax Andro A60, but the Galaxy Pop seems to be among the better value for money phones.

The Galaxy Pop S5570 has a 3.14-inch capactive touchscreen with QVGA resolution. It has a 3.15MP fixed focus camera with video recorded at 240 x 320 pixels @15fps. The display's QVGA resolution would be something that we see as a downer for a screen this big and the camera fixed focus is also uninspiring.

The Samsung Galaxy Pop S5570 comes with 160MB internal memory and supports expandable memory up to 32GB via microSD card. For wireless connectivity, the phone has 3G, GPRS and Edge, plus Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP.
