Samsung Galaxy S Sales Crosses One Million Mark in US market

On July 15th, Samsung started shipping its high-end Android phone, the Galaxy S running on Android 2.1 to US. Now, Samsung has announced that the number of Galaxy S it shipped has reached one million mark! If you missed our review of the device, here is the run-down on what the device is capable of and what it has inside its hood.
The Galaxy S is powered by a 1GHz processor and it has 512MB of RAM. It is the first device to feature the brilliant Super AMOLED screen. The 4-inchscreen size is the biggest mobile screen in the Indian market, however, in the US there are HTC EVO 4G and Dell Streak which sports a 4.3-inch and 5-inch respectively. And the Galaxy S’s screen has a WVGA resolution and is of capacitive touchscreen. For storage, there is a 8GB and 16GB versions apart from supporting microSD memory card.
The Galaxy S has a 5MP camera with autofocus and it records 720p HD video at 30fps. It also plays MKV, DivX, XviD and FLAC apart from the standard audio/video format.
The Samsung Galaxy S in US has been named differently by different operators in US. AT& T has Samsung Captivate whileT-Mobile called it Samsung Vibrant. The Galaxy S will also be carried by Sprint and Verizon Wireless, U.S. Cellular and Cellular South in the coming months.
According to Press Release, Samsung has rolled out host of campaigns to support its Galaxy S in many major networks such as ABC, FOX, CBS, ESPN, MTV etc.
