Samsung Launches 3 New 3G Budget Phones in India

Samsung India has expanded its 3G portfolio in the market with the launch of the Champ 3.5G (S3770), Chat 527 (S5270) and Primo (S5610) 3G handsets across the Touch, QWERTY and Bar type formats.

A press release quotes Ranjit Yadav, Country Head, Samsung Mobile & IT, “Consumers increasingly want to stay connected with friends and family through SNS, IM and messaging while being on the move. With our array of affordable 3G devices across different mobile formats, we are making the 3G experience accessible to a wider set of consumers.”

The new Samsung Champ 3.5G is a touchscreen phone with a 2.8-in display. It also comes with the SoundAlive feature and a 2 MP Camera.  The Champ has 30 MB Internal memory (expandable to 16GB with microSD storage), and a 1000mAh battery. The phone also comes pre-installed with native Facebook & Twitter Apps. The phone supports Wi-Fi connectivity and also has a front camera for video calling. The Samsung Champ 3.5G (S3770) is priced at Rs. 5,590
The Samsung Chat 527 (S5270) features an optical track pad, a QWERTY keypad and a 2.4-in display. Like the Champ, the Chat 527's internal memory can also be expanded to 16GB with microSD cards. The Chat has a 1,000mAH battery and is priced at Rs. 5,930.

The Samsung Primo (S5610) has a candy-bar form factor and a 2.4-in TFT display. Imaging is taken care of by a 5MP camera with flash and a front camera allows for video calls. The Primo 5610 with its premier metallic sleek bar type design sports a 2.4” large display and comes with  a 5MP camera with LED flash . The Primo also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 and microSD cards up to 16GB. The Samsung Primo is priced at Rs. 6,590.
