Sony India Introduces New VAIO E Series Laptops

Sony India has announced the launch of new VAIO E Series laptops and aims to capture more market share in India. In FY09, Sony achieved a market share of 12 percent and is currently targeting 20 percent by FY10 with the launch of the new VAIO models. The company claims that it has sold 1.2 lakh notebooks which is expected to go up to 2.5 lakh notebooks by FY10.

Masaru Tamagawa, Managing Director, Sony India, said, “The E Series models are designed keeping in mind, everyday ease of use. With vibrant, colourful looks, the new E Series laptops are perfect for everyday browsing, blogging or enjoying one’s digital media collection.

The VAIO E Series comes with Full HD Display with aspect ratio of 16:9. The VAIO EA has a screen size of 35.56 cms and is available at the price starting from Rs. 34,990 to Rs. 57,990. The VAIO EB is 39.37 cms and is available at the price starting from Rs. 34,990 to Rs. 51,990. These laptops are available in variety of colours.
