Sony to unveil PS3 Move motion controller in India

PS3 fans waiting for the PlayStation Move to officially hit Indian shores need not wait longer. Sony Entertainment is all set to unveil the PlayStation Move motion controller for PS3 gaming console all over India this month. The PlayStation Move PS3 gaming console was showcased worldwide for the first time at E3 last year.

While the Microsoft's Kinect motion controller (for Xbox 360) continues to be at large in India, the Sony PlayStation Move is the second motion controller -- apart from Nintendo's Wii remote -- availabe with a gaming console currently in India.

Sony plans to launch the PS3 PlayStation Move motion controller along with PlayStation Eye Cam. The PS3 gaming console along with the Playstation Eye Cam detects the PlayStation Move's position based on various criterion. The PlayStation Move's three-axis gyroscope, accelerometer, and color chaging orb facilitate the PlayStation Eye Cam and the Sony PS3 gaming console to tracks the Move motion controller's movements.

The new Sony PlayStation Move motion controller is priced at Rs. 2,499 -- Rs. 1,899 for the Move navigation controller. However, Sony plans a special starter pack offer comprising of the PlayStation Move motion controller, PlayStation Eye Cam and game demos of select games -- all at Rs. 3,650.
