Three new MTS smartphones support 3G CDMA2000 technology

For budget-conscious mobile phone customers, MTS has unveiled three new 3G-enabled phones -- Buzz, Alive, and Ivory -- specifically targeting college students and young professionals. The new MTS phones support CDMA2000 3G technology for faster data transfer.

The three new Internet-enabled smartphones from MTS sport stylish looks, according to the press release, and provides easy access to 15 popular social networking websites including Facebook and Twitter. The new MTS mobile phones also support Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo and Google search to its subscribers.

The Buzz, Alive, and Ivory MTS CDMA2000 enabled smartphones offers Internet connectivity speeds up to 3.1 Mbps -- similar to the MTS Mblaze High Speed Mobile Broadband. MTS will also provide 20GB free data usage for first two months for every subscriber of the new MTS smartphones. Let's take a look at the three different MTS phones and their features:

MTS Buzz: It's a CDMA/GSM enabled phone optimized for social networking. The phone has a slim form factor with a dedicated QWERTY keyboard. The MTS Buzz has a 2.4-inch screen, MP3 player, 1.3MP camera, and expandable memory up to 4GB. And the MTS Buzz is available in white and black colors.

MTS Alive: It's a touchscreen phone with 3G-CDMA2000 technology. It has access to 15 popular social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, etc.) and IM tools. The MTS Alive smartphone also has a built-in Opera Mini browser, expandable memory up to 8GB, music player, 1.3MP camera with Bluetooth with A2DP for wireless stereo music streaming, and video recording.

MTS Ivory: The MTS Ivory has a 3.2-inch WQVGA touchscreen for enhanced mobile TV experience. The Ivory can access MTS TV featuring up to 60 channels. The phone also has a 2MP camera, Bluetooth, expandable memory up to 4G and Wi-Fi capability.

All the new MTS smartphones -- Buzz, Alive, Ivory -- support 3G-CDMA2000 technology and are optimized for social networking tasks.

MTS didn't reveal individual pricing of the Buzz, Alive, and Ivory 3G smartphones, stating the phones start at a price of Rs. 4,999.
