Transcend V95C 16GB Flash Drive Launched with Swarovski Sapphire Crystal
26 Aug 2010
Transcend has launched a new 16GB version of its JetFlash V95C series of USB pen drives. Part of the design is an expressive deep-gloss lacquer accent panel, and a retractable USB connector (no more lost flash drive caps!). Claimed to represent a tasteful combination of luxury and modern technology, the Transcend JetFlash V95 Classic 16GB (model number TS16GJFV95C) glossy, high-on-fashion flash drive's outer case is complemented by a genuine Swarovski sapphire crystal.
For added value, users can take advantage of Transcend's useful free software downloads of the JetFlash Elite data management tools to enhance their mobile productivity and get the most out of their JetFlash drive (with software for PC-Lock, AutoLogin, Favorites, Secret-Zip, E-mail and DataBackup). Transcend's webpage for this product claims a lifetime warranty, but the press release we got mentioned a 3 year warranty, so you atleast know the minimum warranty period offered by the distributors in India. The JetFlash V95C 16GB is claimed to offer upto 15MB/s transfer speeds (read/write) and joins the three capacities that existed earlier: 2GB, 4GB and 8GB. The 16GB version with the Swarovski crystal is priced at Rs. 3,650 (close to double the price of normal pendrives, but might be worth it to some for the Swarovski name and to flaunt its good looks).
According to Mr. Gordon Wu, Regional Head for South Asia, Transcend, "Although the 16GB JetFlash V95C is ultra compact, the USB flash drive is capable of storing up to 6552 still images (based on 5 megapixel JPEG compression format) or 240 minutes of high-definition 1080p video. Each JetFlash V95C comes with a refined leather strap, making it a convenient yet fashionable way to backup, store and carry digital files."
