World Phone Launches Cyclops Video Surveillance Camera

World Phone Internet Services has launched Cyclops in India, which is a remote surveillance system that offers recording capabilities. The launch of Cyclops will help World Phone to foray into the growing security market in India, which is expected to touch $3.5 billion in next few years growing at a CAGR of 30 percent, the company’s press release claims.
"Security is a top-of-the-mind issue today. Be it a business setup, educational institute, religious place or an individual’s home, monitoring the activities in and around the premises has assumed paramount importance,” Aditya Ahluwalia, Chairman, World Phone Internet Services.
Cyclops comes with 500 GB hard drive, which can record two years of continuous video and is optimized for 24/7 surveillance. Cyclops allows transfer of recorded footage directly to a PC using the USB cable. Cyclops uses H.264 compression that helps in saving up to 50 percent of space on the hard disk. Cyclops is iPhone and BlackBerry Compatible and its DVR utilizes 3G technology which is specifically designed to transmit video and audio at higher speeds.
A user can set the unit to automatically send email alerts whenever motion is detected or when cameras loose power and up to 7 different email addresses can receive these alerts.
Cyclops is designed for business setups but can be used by home users too, claims World Phone. These cameras are Weatherproof and the LEDs are activated automatically when it gets dark and are deactivated during the day to save energy (CDS sensor).
