Zomato.com launches app for iOS Devices

Zomato.com (earlier known as Foodiebay.com), one of India's online food and nightlife guide portals has launched a mobile application for all iOS devices. This application is also available for Android and Blackberry smartphones
The app is available for free on iTunes store for the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad. This search application lets users search for nearby restaurants based on the user's location. The application replicates all features of the website and lets the user look at the menus, contact details, reviews, photographs, location and discounts for restaurants on the device itself.

According to the company, the application registered around 1000 downloads within three hours of its launch.
Deepinder Goyal, Co-Founder and CEO, Zomato said, "We are the first restaurant portal and local search player in the country to develop an app for all three smartphone platforms. With the iOS launch, we can now effectively increase our reach to nearly the entire smartphoneuser base in India. Users will be able to enjoy all the functionalities of our website on the iOS Zomato application."
