ZyXEL Communications, a broadband access solutions provider, has today introduced their NBG 419N Wireless N Home Router 300 Mbps. Compared to 54 Mbps speeds seen on Wireless-G routers, this router which is compliant with the 802.11n standard has the potential for much better performance. It is claimed to be a "green" product with wireless control for energy savings. The same six-level "output power control" capability makes it a good wireless neighbor, preventing interference with the networks of other people.

It also implements Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) and a push button, the WPS takes only a few seconds to set up a secure wireless network without any complication. ZyXEL claims this router is equipped with User Experiences on Network Gaming and Multimedia Streaming, Easy Mode and Expert Mode for Quick Navigation and Setup. With support for Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) technology, the NBG-419N can enhance users' experience of audio, video and voice applications over wireless networks. Some other notable features include support for detaching the antennae, and pure AP mode. As is usual with any router, WPA2 is supported for encrypting wireless transmissions for security. The ZyXEL NBG 419N Wireless N Home Router is priced at Rs. 8,500.
