Full Review
The Creative Inspire T6100 is for those who crave decent surround sound at a budget level. The Inspire T6100 is a simple and compact surround sound speaker set with no frills on the features front. The two front satellites have dual drivers with the master volume control on the right channel. Bass control is at the back of the sub. The active sub has a front port design with the side firing speaker.
The system total power is rated at 76Watts RMS with 26 Watts subwoofer, 18 Watts center channel and four satellites each rated at 8 Watts. Setting the speakers up was a breeze. Right from the start, we were quite impressed with the way high and middle frequencies were reproduced. The highs were bright without sounding too shrill and the mids even though they were not as crisp as the ones on Logitech X540 still sounded clear both for movies and music.
Setting the speakers up was a breeze. Right from the start, we were quite impressed with the way high and middle frequencies were reproduced.
The presence of tweeters on the two front satellites made the Inspire better suited for listening music as the surround speakers did not reproduce high frequencies as sharp as the front satellites did. Surround effect was sufficient though but the subwoofer is a bit weak to immerse us into earth shattering experience. We really wish we got more action from the beautifully build sub-woofer which sounded a bit underpowered in comparison to the shamelessly sounding satellites.
Still, they would suffice for most music, games and movies. The no-frills 5.1 channel speaker set offers unbelievable sound and features at a price which makes the other brands seem like they are asking too much for what they offer.
Bottom Line
Reasonably priced Inspire T6100 sounded rich and clear with decent surround sound effect. One of the best surround sound options for those who are on budgets.
