HP Photosmart A626
2008-08-01Full Review
The HP Photosmart A626 compact inkjet photo printer comes with a large 4.8-inch touch-sensitive screen using which you can make changes to your photograph before printing it. You can even make your own sketch on the picture (by ‘drawing’ on the touch screen using the stylus), place other images, etc. What’s more, you can even print 5 x 7 inch pictures, while the maximum print size for other printers is the standard 4 x 6 inch (postcard size).
During our review we found that print-quality wise, the prints are fairly color neutral but lack a solid ink fill. You can make out faint gaps between the ink drops where ink has not been filled. Cost of printing is on the higher side as well. The cartridge costs Rs. 844 and HP claims it is good for 55 print outs. But the cartridge comes without paper, so you need to invest on photo paper as well, thus taking the running cost gp through the roof.
It comes with a large 4.8-inch touch-sensitive screen with which you can make changes to your photograph before printing it.
Bottom Line
The HP Photosmart A626 prints in 5 x 7 inch size, has a large touchscreen LCD and print quality is not bad for this kind of printer.
