Page 1: Introduction & Features

The HTC Sensation is the newest high-end Android smartphone to launch in India and is one of the few smartphones that utilizes a dual core processor. The Sensation also includes the newest version of HTC's Sense UI and is essentially the flagship Android smartphone from the Taiwanese handset makers.

The Sensation proves that the HTC Sense UI is hands down the best looking and one of the most usable UIs to operate in conjunction with the Android OS.

Features

The Sensation fits the profile of a modern high-end smartphone by offering a wide variety of features. It has a 4.3-inch S-LCD capacitive display with a resolution of 540x960 pixels that supports multi-touch input. The Sensation offers 1GB of internal storage space and you can pop in a microSD card up to 32GB if you need extra space. The Sensation supports Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G (HSDPA 14.4Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps), Bluetooth 3.0 and uses a microUSB port to connect to the PC and charge.

The Sensation uses an 8MP auto-focus camera with a dual-LED flash and a VGA front camera. The primary camera can also record 1080p HD video @30fps. The HTC is powered by a 1.2GHz dual core Qualcomm processor and an Adreno 220 GPU.

HTC has installed Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) on the Sensation. Like any other Android smartphone, you can download apps from the Android Market and also make use of Google Mobile apps such as Gmail and Gtalk. HTC has also pre-installed a bunch of applications on the Sensation including office docs viewers, song recognition apps, apps for social networking and others.
