Full Review

When it comes to high-end phones, the iPhone 3G still excels large and excellent multitouch screen that enables unparalleled touch operation that is smooth and nearly flawless. Better still the sleek and beautiful interface that is optimized for finger touch will get anyone hooked to it. With the latest OS 3.0, the iPhone is now even better with many of the previous glitches fixed. Priced at par with other super phones, it’s the best touchscreen handset money can buy.

As a phone, the iPhone offers good reception and one of the best virtual keyboards we’ve seen on any touch-based phone. For business use, the exchange server with push mail support is a blessing. Its online features cannot be topped by any other phone owing to the excellent Safari browser that mimics PC-like browsing. Apart from regular browsing and email, thousands of apps can be downloaded from the Apple App Store using the iPhone itself. We wish every other manufacturer would take a cue from this.

The iPhone offers good reception and one of the best virtual keyboards we’ve seen on any touch-based phone.

From entertainment to business applications, the iPhone’s versatility has encouraged developers to create exciting and useful applications like no other devices has done. The fact that such a high-end device with top notch audio and video playback carries only 2MP camera may annoy some but , in a couple of months we’ll see better pictures and videos captured with the iPhone 3GS uploaded either on Flickr or YouTube. Apart from this, the iPhone GPS (even though it lacks voice guided navigation) offers outstanding reception and the multitouch gives a smooth navigating experience on Google Maps. More maps will soon be launched for iPhone as well that will improve the already decent GPS feature on the device.

Overall, it’s the best high-end phone money can buy if you want to have full entertainment on your phone apart from taking calls and messaging.

Bottom Line

If you are into mobile web browsing, hate carrying your dedicated PMP and don’t mind adding new apps added almost everyday, this is the phone to buy.
