Full Review
The Gaming series from Logitech the G51 are one of the best surround speakers for gaming available in the market. They are beautifully designed, easy to set up with color coded cables and a convenient remote control pod which has controls for all the essential features.
With 155 watts RMS of total power output ( 20 watts RMS each for 4 satellites, 19 watts RMS for Center and 56 watts RMS for the subwoofer) , the G51 is on the upper end of multichannel speakers in this price range in terms of power. Setting up the speakers was not an issue. And once we started our Gaming test, we were impressed especially with the Game Matrix Mode switched on.
The dialogues or speeches were clear, the sound positioning was great and the subwoofer also pumped out enormous amount of bass without distortion.
The satellites did their job well so did the subwoofer. The dialogues or speeches were clear, the sound positioning was great and the subwoofer also pumped out enormous amount of bass without distortion. The immersive experience and the sound effect were rendered at best for the speakers in this price range. Even for movies, the surround effect was good but the background scores of music were not impressive.
The same goes for music playback as the G51 has overemphasizing mids which lacks detail and further, the bass was loose and lacks punch. One more problem we have is the poor build quality as there are broken stands and discoloration we’ve seen on our review unit. However, of all the applications we tried with, the G51 are best suited for gaming as that is what they are intended to be.
Bottom Line
G-for Gaming, the Logitech G51 is nice to use and has extraordinary sound for gaming.
