Full Review
The Palit Radeon HD 4670 is an excellent option for gaming at lower resolutions and it gives you the best price to performance ratio among budget cards.
Specs & Design
It comes with 512MB of video memory; a core clocked at 750MHz, has 320 shaders and uses a 128-bit memory bandwidth. It also has a DVI-port and an HDMI port. The HD 4670 has a relatively large heat-sink and fan but it is also quite noisy. In fact, the noise is quite audible and could be a problem when watching movies. Fortunately, the card has no heating issues. The card is also pretty small in length, so you should have no problems fitting it into an inexpensive cabinet. Also, it doesn’t need an additional power input which is useful to readers who don’t want to upgrade their power supply units as well as their graphics hardware.

Performance
We tested the card on a system made up of an Intel Core i7 870 processor clocked at 2.93MHz, 2GB of Kingston HyperX DDR3 RAM, an Intel DP55KG Extreme Motherboard, an Intel X25-M 80GB SSD and running Windows 7 64-bit. Our benchmarks consisted of the 3D Mark ’06 and 3D Mark Vantage suite of tests and temperature and audio level tests. For gaming we tested the card using Crysis, Far Cry 2 and Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. at 1280x1024 and 1024x768 resolutions.
In the synthetic benchmarks, the ATI managed scores of 8,417 and 14,510 in 3D Mark ’06 and 3D Mark Vantage (Entry preset) respectively. In Crysis at 1280x1024 with 4xAA and High settings, the Radeon and managed 21fps. In Far Cry 2 at the same resolution and AA and Very High settings, the HD 4670 managed 32fps. In H.A.W.X., the HD 4670 pumped out 34fps.
