Full Review
The Vivitek D825MS is a light and relatively portable projector.
It uses DLP technology to deliver a crisp image, aided by the bright 2500 lumen lamp. Unlike our winner, NEC NP 200, the 825MS has a lower native resolution of 800x600, but none of the others managed any better either.
Also, this projector has no filters that can potentially get clogged and cause the lamp to overheat. Another good feature is the quick startup and instant shutdown. A lot of projectors need you to wait a minute or two after turning the machine off, for it to cool down. With this one, you can just switch it off and pop in your bag.

In the DisplayMate tests, the Vivitek D825MS matched the NP200 point for point. In fact, it had perfect scores across nineteen of the twenty sub-tests. It had a slight problem with multiple intensity text, but the emphasis here is on slight. Our winner, the NP200 was quite a bit brighter, but for quality of image, it was a dead heat. Color quality was a little off, but we’re not being too harsh here, since none of these budget projectors were close to the ideal numbers. At this low price, it does not matter so much, and this projector does a great job in all other departments.
Bottom Line
A budget projector with better than average features, the Vivitek D825MS is a good buy.
